Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, formerly
Westinghouse Process Control, offers data links that provide
communication between the plant DCS and multiple third-party
plant control devices. A typical data link exchanges a stream
of information from devices such as PLCs, analyzers, and specialty
sensors. Data links can operate on a variety of platforms
including WDPF® WEStations, Ovation® workstations,
and controller cards, depending on plant requirements. In
addition to the hardware platform, data links also include
communications software and protocols.
