The Ovation® Keyboard evolved from the familiar WDPF®
Membrane Keyboard. The keyboard interfaces to both the Sun
Solaris™-based and Microsoft® Windows®-based
versions of Ovation®.
The Ovation® Operator Keyboard contains four functions
areas:
Alarms — Used to initiate and interact
with the Ovation® alarm displays, this area features oversized
buttons for displaying the Alarm List and to silence the alarm
audio.
Custom — Forty-eight user-definable buttons
are centrally located and groups into three sections of 16
buttons. Each button has the ability to initiate a process
diagram display, pre-defined trends, and standard Ovation®
application or third-party/user programs.
Display — This section works directly
with the Process Diagram System to open as many as four windows
per CRT (total of eight) and to direct the paging, forward
and backward recalll of the graphical displays.
Control — Ten P-Keys interface with Ovation®
control algorithms and process diagrams. Specific keys are
present for raise and lower functions as well as stop/start,
auto/manual and other control functions.
