The Ovation® Operator Workstation is available in both
a Microsoft® Windows®-based version and a Sun Solaris-based
version. Regardless of which platform you select, the Ovation®
Operator Workstation provides a high-resolution window to
the process for control graphics, diagnostics, trending, alarms
and plant status displays. Through the Operator Workstation,
the user has access to dynamic system points as well as historical
data, general messages, standard function displays, event
logging, and a sophisticated alarm management program.
Sun Solaris-Based Ovation®
Operator Station
Based on the UNIX operating system, the Sun Solaris-based
version of the Ovation Operator Workstation provides access
to up to 200,000 dynamic system points, displays historical
data and general messages, logs process events, and monitors
plant operations through a sophisticated alarm management
system.
Real-time data displays feature high-speed, high-resolution
process graphics, alarm screens, and other GUI tools to simplify
the review and analysis of live and historic process data.
Icons or menus on the display monitor access standard Operator
functions including alarming, configuration display, algorithm
tuning, and custom process views.
