Earning an Ovation Certification credential affirms that
you have met Emerson's high technical training standards
and are an experienced technical leader with the ability
to successfully engineer, administer and maintain an Ovation
control system for your organization. The process industry,
your employer, and peers will recognize your Ovation Certification
as a symbol of the skills and knowledge that you've acquired
through experience.
Ovation Certification offers numerous benefits to you and

management of your Ovation control system

and Ovation "expert" within your organization

and troubleshooting your system quickly and efficiently

Validates that you have the knowledge and skills to
take advantage of the powerful features and functions of
the Ovation expert control system, and offers you the opportunity
to stay current with Ovation software updates/upgrades via
free "software update" courses available to Ovation-certified
personnel approximately twice a year
The Certification Examination (OV400-UNX
or OV400-WIN) is the
culmination of an extensive Ovation training regimen. The
Certification
Examination is available to those who have successfully completed
the seven core Ovation training courses listed in the OV400-UNX
or OV400-WIN course descriptions.
To obtain Ovation Certification, you must complete this
rigorous
five-day examination designed to measure your proficiency
in all aspects of Ovation system administration, configuration
and operation. As part of the examination, you will be required
to work independently to build and configure an Ovation
system.
Tasks will include system loading, configuration, database
and control building, graphic design and linkage, report
generation
and system backup. You will also be required to troubleshoot
problems as they occur.
You will receive Ovation Certification upon satisfactory
completion of the examination. In order to maintain your skills
and keep current with software updates, Ovation-certified
professionals will be entitled to free admittance to future
training courses on topics related to Ovation software updates/upgrades.
These "software update" courses will be scheduled
as new versions of the software are released. It is anticipated
that these courses will be offered approximately two times
per year. Ovation certification will be valid for three years.
