Prerequisites
If migrating from an 8-level system, prior completion of WEStation Software Maintenance (WSM-8.6) or Hardware Maintenance (WHM-8.6) is required. If migrating from earlier Emerson technologies, prior completion of WDPF System Maintenance (SYM) or WDPF Level 7 Maintenance (7LM) is required.

Description
OV120-WIN is for supervisors, engineers and technicians with a solid background in the WDPF RMX86 software platform or WEStation 8.6 level technology, and who require an overview of the Ovation® control system on a Windows platform. This course highlights the differences between Ovation and the WDPF classic system, including Ovation hardware and software functionality in a Windows environment. Because this course provides an overview of the differences between Emerson control systems, individuals with direct responsibility for using and maintaining an Ovation system should take OV100-WIN and either OV200-WIN-3.0.X or OV200-WIN-3.1.X .

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, using the reference material provided, the student will be able to:

  1. Build new graphics and convert Classic graphics to Ovation format
  2. Build and maintain the Ovation database
  3. Access utility programs for control building
  4. Perform query/download on new and modified files
  5. Define and install Ovation drop configurations
  6. Perform file transfers to Ovation drops
