Ovation® Advanced Control (OV330-UNX)

  Duration
Five Days

Scheduled Dates

  • April 28-May 2, 2008

Prerequisites
Prior completion of either OV200-UNX-1.8.X or OV200-UNX-1.9.X is strongly recommended. A working knowledge of control systems and control theory is suggested.

Description
This course is intended for students who will implement their own control programs or will make significant modifications to existing programs. Using previous control-building knowledge, the student will learn how to implement control design in an Ovation® environment. This course is a continuation of the control topics discussed in OV200-UNX-1.8.X and OV200-UNX-1.9.X. This course will emphasize the proper selection, configuration, and application of algorithms in the Ovation control system.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, using the reference material provided, the student will be able to:

  1. Apply, tune, and track all appropriate algorithms in open- and closed-loop configurations
  2. Select, filter and compensate transmitter inputs
  3. Implement complex sequential control
  4. Appreciate important closed-loop control forms
  5. Configure general math computations
  6. Describe the interface of selected algorithms to input/output hardware
  7. Use algorithms for timing, counting, accumulation and system-time applications
