Prerequisites
A general background in (analog and digital) control building techniques and
a basic concept of computer systems is required. Prior completion of the WSM-8.6 (WEStation
Software Maintenance) and WHM-8.6 (WEStation
Hardware Maintenance) courses is recommended.
Description
This course is designed for technicians who are responsible for troubleshooting
a WEStation system and presents a methodical approach to identifying and
correcting a variety of operating problems. Numerous exercises illustrate
how to apply troubleshooting methods.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Use a systematic approach to troubleshooting WDPF systems
- Recognize when system problems exist
- Use available tools to collect data effectively
- Analyze the cause of system faults and repair them
- Analyze and improve the system troubleshooting process
